Biola Placement Exams & Surveys
91ÆÞÓÑ offers placements in the following subject areas: writing, science, foreign language and music. Review each selection below for information about the placement and which ones you are required to complete.
Writing
Because there are several ways to meet the Biola Core/General Education writing requirement, incoming students submit a short survey to indicate how they plan to fulfill the requirement. If a student plans to enroll in ENGL 112 or ENGL 100 at Biola, they will submit a writing sample or eligible test scores. Otherwise, students who have already completed a writing class via transfer or test credit are still required to complete the form for the English Writing Program.
Science
Chemistry and Physics placement is required for select majors in the School of Science, Technology and Health. See information below for the majors that require placement.
General Chemistry
The following majors require placement for General Chemistry — CHEM 105:
