Meet Your Peer Academic Advisors (PAAs)
Peer Academic Advisors (PAAs) are para-professionals trained to help with general advising, major/minor changes, course selection, etc. Unlike the full-time Advising Center staff, PAAs serve the entire student population, not just first-years.
Appointment Topics
- General Advising Needs: Schedule planning, registration help, and adding or changing your major/minor.
- Academic Success & Study Skills: Support with study skills, time management, GPA calculations, assignment mapping, and assignment accountability, etc.
- Graduation Application & Planner Support: Support using the Planner tool, building a digital course-by-course academic plan to take to your faculty advisor, filling out the Graduation Application, etc.
- FirstGen & SEID Support: Support navigating university systems, building connections and academic thriving.
