Biola Blockbusters: Outdoor Summer Movie Nights

Join us for outdoor movie nights on Biola's Metzger Lawn! Bring a camp or beach chair, blanket, and a friend!

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. Before the feature film, the evening will begin with two short films created by current Biola students and recent Biola Alumni. One of those short films being, A Lovely Ending, written, directed and produced by Biola Cinema & Media Art students which was nominated in the College Television Awards in the category of Best Comedy Series. Following these two short films will be the feature film for June 18th, The Emperor's New Groove (2000)

Guests are welcome to arrive early to set up, relax, and connect. Additionally, visitors can purchase dinner at one of the featured food trucks before the event or purchase snacks and beverages (sodas, tea, coffee, smoothies, etc.) inside Heritage Café before the movie starts.

Parking

  • Free parking is available on Biola’s campus. Parking permits are not required for this event.
  • Park in Lot A (Behind Talbot East and Sutherland) or Parking Structure S for overflow.

Venue Policies

  • Registration – Biola Blockbusters is a free event, we simply ask that you register to attend so that we can plan for your presence.
  • Seating – Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis - the front section of the lawn is reserved for blankets and ground seating only. Low chairs are permitted, but please be cognizant of other attendees' ability to view the screen. Strollers must be kept near the sides or the back of the lawn and cannot obstruct the view of other guests.
  • Food – Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, please be cautious of spilling! Dinner will be available to purchase from the evenings featured food trucks. Additionally, Heritage Café will be open until 8 p.m. to purchase snacks and beverages.
  • Alcohol – 91ÆÞÓÑ does not allow the consumption of or sale of alcoholic beverages on university property. You will be asked to stop and dispose of your beverage. Failure to comply may require us to ask you to leave or escort you off the campus.
  • Smoking – For health and safety reasons as well as to remain in compliance with state and local regulations, 91ÆÞÓÑ does not allow the use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes or marijuana while on 91ÆÞÓÑ’s campus. You will be asked to stop; failure to comply may require us to ask you to leave or escort you off the campus.
  • Pets – While we adore pets, we kindly request leaving them at home for this event to ensure safety and comfort for all participants, as well as to accommodate those with allergies or anxieties. Your understanding and cooperation are deeply appreciated as we strive to create a memorable experience for everyone involved.
